Disasterclass for the Mets. He’s pitched, what, like 8 innings all year now? Not sure why they even had him Game 1 after his last start.

I’ll admit I’m a casual baseball fan, but I’ve never seen such a disaster start for a pitcher before.
Pitch him again on 3 days rest.
Ok, after thinking about it: I’m going to give the Mets some benefit of the doubt here because he was fine in the phillies outing and was legitimately awesome both last year and in his one start in july. there was some universe here where Senga went 3 scoreless innings. this wasn’t an *obviously* doomed idea. Just a high-risk one.
Still plenty of game for the comeback Mets. I don’t feel any calmer/good except for the fact that the Dodgers will get a long and early look at the Mets pen.
