Someone posted this a few days ago and it sparked an interesting conversation a about how certain teams appear to be twice as likely to reach the World Series as their opponents.

With no baseball being played between now and 7 hours ago when this was first posted, what would have made these numbers change? Granted, they barely changed, but still… The Vesia injury, maybe?

I just don’t see how you can see flaherty/buehler pitch 4 out of 7 games and come up with numbers that high. Not saying dodgers can’t win but people are seriously not paying attention if they think any of the teams left have a significant talent gap over the Mets. (I think they are the most talented team in NY).. They’ve been the best team in baseball for 4 + months now. People are giving too much stock in a bad month where they had half their team differently.
