Mookie has the perfect personality to be Ohtani’s teammate. It takes a lot of ego-checking to be the best player on your team no matter what level you played at your entire life like Mookie has and then suddenly having a teammate who EVERYONE says is just flat out better than you. To be fair, the fact that Ohtani is in the argument for the best baseball player that ever lived probably helps, but there are plenty of athletes who would not have been able to handle it as well as Mookie has.
