No. 2 Ohio state is playing No. 3 Oregon at 7:30pm in a Big Ten matchup…which is still weird to say
EDIT: apparently MLB is claiming because of the weather forecast. Chances for scattered showers in the afternoon and evening. Although the fact that they would’ve lost out on a lot of Ohio viewers if it was at night I’m sure made the decision easier.

This is so lame. The weather radar for cleveland tomorrow doesn’t even seem bad…

“Honey, I have to cancel tomorrow’s lunch date. There’s gonna be a baseball game goin’ on!”

So weird with it being the only game and a decisive Game 5. They already moved it once after the Yankees clinched and the primetime slot freed up. I guess since its Saturday its not a terrible idea to have it as an afternoon game though.

Why not 4 o’clock or even 6 o’clock?

I think they were probably more concerned « weather » or not anyone from Ohio would choose to watch this game over the buckeyes.

Makes sense, esp if a big storm is expected to roll in in the evening.
It was a mid afternoon game, then got moved to prime time when the other DS wrapped up early, and now it’s a day game to avoid weather and football
Honestly, weekend day game vibes are good too. Go be loud.

I’m cool with this. My local beer garden is having its last weekend this weekend. It opens at 12. I can go there, get some beers and watch some baseball.

Tomorrow night was gonna be a great multiview night with Game 5, Oregon-Ohio State, and LSU-Ole Miss.

I will 100% use the time change excuse if we lose and 100% tell other it’s not a valid excuse if we win
