So a pitching duel is a win for Japan, and a scoring shootout is a loss for Japan (unless Ohtani is the one contributing to the scoring)
EDIT: and Higashioka

This is game is going to bring in so much attention to the MLB. SD and LA hate each other and always have interesting series, 2 Japanese aces going at it, and it’s a winner take all game?

It’s a shame that it will be absolute utter torture so that I can’t enjoy this historic moment.

MLB exposure for Asian-borne players has come such a long way. I still remember clipping a newspaper photo of Hideo Nomo pitching in the same game against Anaheim Angels reliever Hasegawa back in the 90s.

Holy shit I’m so nervous/excited for this game. Regardless of what happens it’s gonna be interesting that’s for sure

I have moved meetings that most likely could be emails for this. I am ready.

If you would have told me 2 weeks ago that a key member of the Japanese WBC team was going to be the principle reason for the winner of the NLDS to advance… I would have been much more confident than I am tonight.
Still expecting the Dodgers to come out on top, but we have moved from a 99.5 to a 98.2
