In all my years of watching postseason baseball on TBS I don’t remember the production being this odd. Costas sounds like he is calling the game remotely from a closet, the stadium sound is running through some sort of noise gate, and the camera work… dang. Just bad.
I will always defend Costas, one of the greats of the sport. This camera work though? What the hell is wrong with TBS? That was truly horrid cutting and it seems like there is a disconnect between the booth and the control room.

Folks this is awful live tv directing. Not so much the camera operator’s faults. It’s up to their director to call specific shots and it seems like someone who’s never produced a baseball game before
