The crowd didn’t move during the entire delay, and the PA played All the Small Things and the entire crowd screamed the whole song. Ever since, it has become somewhat of an « anthem » for the Padres

I understand they need to show us the same commercials 500 times because 499 times isn’t quite enough, but I really wish the broadcasts stayed in the parks for cool moments like this in between innings. Missing both this and the Suarez intro was an absolute tragedy. The Suarez intro was particularly rough because the broadcast showed the first few seconds of it teasing how absolutely incredible it would be to watch live, but then instantly cut away.
