   For those wondering about the particular phrasing of the title:

   – Yu Darvish has a Japanese mother and an Iranian father

   – Kyle Higashioka has a Caucasian mother and a Japanese father (third generation American)

   So, they’re both half-Japanese by ancestry, just in different ways :).
