The highest highs and the lowest lows of the postseason in one game. Wild.
Every year I always say how much I like the Brewers. They just can not get over the hump. Adames is likely to walk. I’d love to see him stay. But they can easily move Ortiz to SS. Chourio proved that he is an absolute stud.
As for the Mets. Just when you think they are out. They pull you back on. Alonso just secured his legacy. He’s likely coming back on a 9 figure deal. That Phillies series is tough with Wheeler and Nola sitting there. But this grimace voodoo magic is still hot.
What’s the point of winning a division if you’re still subjected to the damn wildcard series? Terrible playoff format.
Doesn’t really help take the sting out of last night but the Brewers had a great year in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. Having Churio locked up for a while is huge and they’re only going to get better.
I really hope they break through eventually the way we did last year to win our first.
I still can’t believe that happened. The place was absolutely rocking after the B2B homers and everything seemed to be going right for the Brewers. Lindor’s AB was insanely clutch setting them up. I don’t think they get anything going if he gets out there
Alonso with a legacy moment.
Also what an amazing season for my teams. Both left for dead at one point and both are going to their divisional series.
As a Phillies fan I don’t feel good heading into this series. Mets are hot and we’ve played like shit since the ASB.
Brewers and Orioles made one of the bigger trades of the off-season and both are going home.
Corbin Burnes had the best pitching performance for the Orioles since Mussina in almost 3 decades and they lose. Now Burnes is a FA and probably won’t be brought back.
Ortiz had a very disappointing series. Hopefully he’ll continue to progress for the Brewers as will DL Hall.
I don’t care if you walk the bases loaded. I don’t think you should pitch to Alonso there.
And yes, I’m sure there’s some analytics or something that point to the contrary but sometimes you just feel it in your gut.
You had to feel like this moment was coming for Alonso. All his career he been getting dunked on for hitting homers up or down by 4 runs. He’s was struggling coming into this game but he needed this moment. Lindor and Nimmo set him up perfectly and he delivered. He earned that one of the most pivotal home runs ever.
The worst part of the Brewers loss was hearing Uecker’s voice on that call. Man absolutely lives and dies with them.
