Such a mind bogglingly gross thing to say about one of your players.

I get taking responsibility here but dude still could be playing for them next year right?

Quote makes it sound like he is terrible and won’t ever play again or something.

Lets see how many free agents want to sign there this offseason with these comments.

  4. Rodriguez was a disaster too how about throw him under the bus while you are at it?

He’s the only reason they missed the playoffs. Yup, just him

I get that he was bad this year but why are they shitting on him so hard? It’s not like he single handedly made them miss the playoffs. Seemed like there were a few underperformers this year on the team that made them miss. I feel like this is a good way to make it a hell of a lot harder to sign a pitcher in the future if not all players.

Montgomery had some of the most consistent numbers prior to this year. It was a good signing. Hindsight is 20/20.

I think the aggressiveness of the DBacks ownership was admirable. They signed two solid SP’s & added so much offense. The offense produced the most runs in baseball, didn’t they? I don’t think many people expected such disappointing seasons out of Rodriguez & Montgomery. I thought it was good moves at the time.

What a yikes moment from an owner. Absolutely shameful thing to say about a player.

Yeah he didn’t perform, obviously it was a poor decision having the benefit of hindsight, etc, but you keep these thoughts in your head.

I hope Monty opts in. Fuck this owner.

Dude’s trying to Montgomery off enough to opt out of the deal. 4D chess right there

  11. “Well I wouldn’t have signed the guy if I knew he was going to have a bad year!!”

Scott Borat client that waited and waited and waited and then pitches like ass after missing spring training.

Love it. Montgomery spent all offseason delaying everything thinking he’s better than what he is because of team success and milking his contract negotiations. If he’s gonna do all that, and then get moved to the bullpen because he sucks, he’s got nobody to get mad at for this but himself

Haha, what the fuck? Keep that to yourself, sir.
