Maybe I’m blanking like an idiot but who else is creating so much value by trade other than Ragans? Is it all just the trade deadline guys?

  2. My main takeaway is the Mets lead the NL in homegrown talent.

I love that we lead in « Home Grown » although, I wonder how players like Yordan are counted. An IFA that was traded to us, but did 100% of his Minor League Baseball career here. I think he should count as home grown since the Astros org did 100% of his player development, but a lot of people put him in the trade category because he wasn’t signed by us.

Way more drafting and international signing in the AL, that’s interesting

    Home Grown.

Out of “the worst milb system in baseball”

Keith Law is not good at his job.

Such a disparity between how the leagues had their clubs built; homegrown on the American side, free agents on the National side.

Jesus Christ NL, learn how to fucking draft.

Game Genie Cheat code using motherfuckers

Anthony Santander isn’t the best Rule 5 pick all time but he almost certainly is the best in Orioles history

Is the one blue bit in Detroit just Javy lol

  10. LunchThreatener

Scott Harris on waivers has been absolutely incredible

  11. hypnoticus103

All these spooky big NL cities with their free agents sandwiching the poor poor little Brewers

Imagine needing 35 combined bWAR on your roster to win baseball games. Couldn’t be my team!

  13. Constant_Gardner11

Players like Aaron Judge are tricky for this type of table. He’s a homegrown Yankee through the draft, but also he’s only on the 2024 team through free agency.

  14. no international percentage for the orioles makes a lot of sense, lmao

  15. Reiketsu_Nariseba

The Brewers made some questionable trades that have actually kind of worked out. The pitching lab does wonders.

  16. Seeing this, I would love to see a homegrown team like the Orioles play the Dodgers who bought half their players.

  17. Owlcatraz

I don’t know what the Astros are paying their international scouts, but it’s worth every penny.

Astros looking at the Dominican Republic like « Give me your Frambers, your Blancos, your huddled Abreus, yearning to pitch clean innings. »
