  1. Acuna last season is more impressive imo. I know I’ll get downvoted by the Ohtani fanboys

How do y’all feel about Jose Ramirez’s current season and how it’ll fit into « the story of baseball »?

I think it’s a bit sad — his 40/40 chase got overshadowed by Ohtani (and a lot of other great performances this year).

And since now it’s official that he’s going to finish 1 homerun short, I think this season becomes « lost to history » in the same way a lot of the other « 35/35 » seasons are.

With the Cardinals and my hometown team both out, I’m kinda rooting for the Guardians to be the World Series champs. A ring would really go a long way towards Jose Ramirez’s legacy.

Nothings guaranteed, but MLB robbed Jram of 40/40 by cancelling yesterday’s game. If it was Ohtani or Judge, they would have played.

  4. I don’t feel to bad because for Ramirez because Acuna did it last year and I think with the rules change 40/40 will happen probably at least once every 5 years.

Not to be pedantic, but 2024 Shohei should also be in the 35-35 club
