But I guess not much came of the draft. Orioles 2020 draft second-overall pick Kjerstad did play some this year, but Tigers first overall pick Torkelson didn’t play in the majors this year
EDIT: nvm Torkelson did play some this year

This scenario looked bleak when the Tigers were at 55-64. They went 31-12.
It looked bleak before game 161 where the Tigers needed to lose 2 against the White Sox. They lost 2 in a row.
I can’t believe that somehow, this is still a thing.
Turns out you can turn a team around in 5 years when you have competent management and ownership
Oh hey I wrote a comment there too about its impact on the draft: [https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/d3qqq3/comment/f04i9eb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/d3qqq3/comment/f04i9eb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

… I don’t like this
That reminded me of [this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/dijd1b/with_the_washington_nationals_advancement_the/f3wrzb0/) I had saved from 2019 🙁
The third game of that series was the first time two AL teams with 100 losses faced each other.
True! It’s uncanny how relevant it still is.
