   I’m surprised Alfonso Soriano hadn’t done this. The one year he led the league in steals, in ’02, he finished second in strikeouts to Mike Cameron (of course it was Mike Cameron).

   Tovar, theoretically, has 31 plate appearances (3.1 per game if he starts every game) for the remainder of the season. That means he would need to strike out for half of his PAs…AND EDC would need to be strikeout-free. Doubtful on both ends there.

   And let’s be honest, Ohtani ain’t getting to 64.

   Impressive that he’s leading both leagues in Ks. When I first read this, I thought it might only be the NL. But I guess a lot of those mid-aughts to mid-teens 200 K guys are out of the league at this point.
