TLDL: MLBPA hasn’t signed off on the facility changes (turf, large enough training rooms, etc) at Sutter Health Park

So what are they going to do, the Coliseum is about to be torn apart by fans

I’d say this is a trash fire, but there are probably some actual trash fires out there that are more orderly than this shit has been. What a mess

The A’s are going to end up like the 1994 Mariners, who had to play all their games on the road after an incident where a chunk of the roof of the Kingdome came crashing down on some seats right before the gates opened for a game. In a weird sort of way, the season being cut short by the strike might have been a blessing for them, although they were doing well in their enforced road trip before things shut down.
(The 1899 Spiders aren’t really compatible, since they had a totally different reason they were forced to play so many road games)

MLB should be ashamed of this. They haven’t looked this bad since the 1994 strike.

Any deal in which one side is constantly acting in bad faith is always going to be in jeopardy.
