Thank God Anthony Santander will be in the All Star Game instead of this loser

He hasn’t been a top 3 outfielder in the AL

Isn’t the voting just for starting lineups?

He can still get selected as a reserve. Blame your fanbase for not voting him if you are upset he is not a starter.

Grady Sizemore in ’06 might have been the last guy who could have done this (Acuna doesn’t get three bases often), but those ten triples at the half is just insane. Grady had 11 for the year.

Red Sox fans wanted Duran traded less than 2 years ago, and won’t even vote for the guy when he’s been one of the best players in baseball. They are an apathetic and entitled fanbase and have been for 30 years now. It’s honestly embarrassing. Can’t think of a fanbase less deserving of 4 ws trophies over the last 20 years.

He better be selected by the AL manager

Well duh, he doesn’t play in Philly

10 triples is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

All star voting is weird anyhow, in that is generally only covers the first 9-10 weeks of the season, at least in terms of the watercooler discussions that build a case. Duran had a MONSTER June which is carrying a lot of the weight of this argument, but that is kinda too late for voters. By the same token, Kwan has been very quiet recently and is unlikely to be all that close to Duran by the end of the year, but he was lava hot before and during the voting so he built a strong case at the right time.
