I want to be like Cal Raleigh, I want to feel what it’s like to squat down on such a thick dumper and catch fastballs, but my cheeks just fall short and I can’t stand it. I sometimes wear bike shorts with built in padding under my jeans to feel what its like to sit down like Cal Raleigh. Someday I’ll be be able to fill out my jeans like Cal Raleigh, someday

  2. NJImperator

Lindor is 99th percentile in OAA btw… WTF were they looking at?

  3. thediesel26

Ha lol if Volpe wins over Witt again.. (he won’t. Witt is the obvious choice)

  4. Griffin Canning being a finalist is hilliarous given that he is one of the worst pitchers by almost every other stat.

  5. Yeah I have no idea what they’re doing. I’ve looked based on metric half of these don’t line up. I don’t really understand the qualifications they use.

  6. heyim_william

If Varsho doesn’t win his GG, I’ll scream.

  7. sackydude

Kirk is first in FRV for all AL catchers and 3rd in DRS, he definitely got snubbed here

  8. Ok-Peak-3012

Is it crazy that MH2 isn’t a finalist or am I just biased?

  9. TheEnragedBushman

How in the world is Soto a finalist again

  10. YaBoiWhit

Wondering how AL CF goes, both Varsho and Duran have way less time than Meyers in CF but have a ton of DRS, Meyers leads them both by a wide margin in OAA, UzR and FRV

  11. DalekEvan

Will Smith gold glove nomination and the Dodgers literally cannot possibly lose a playoff game, it’s my 12/25 today

  13. FPG_Matthew

The Nats almost never get Gold Gloves. Jacob Young did amazing defensively this year. Hope he gets it

  14. Bstokes4102

Jacob Young is one of the best defenders I’ve ever seen, would be well deserved.

  15. ContinuumGuy

I feel like the gold glove is the worst of the awards as far as « likelihood of going to the most deserving ». See: Lindor not even getting nominated, or some guys getting nominated at certain positions when they are more of a utility player.

  16. LocalHero_P1

Fermin over Wells is surprising when you look at Fermin’s -.5 FRM to Wells 10.5. 5 more DRS shouldn’t outweigh 10 more FRM.

No Lindor is also surprising, I guess the gap between his DRS and OAA was too big compared to the other finalists?

  17. Knightbear49

We can all agree Carlos Santana is the clear and obvious AL 1st Base GG Winner

  18. Table_Coaster

AL LF belongs to Cowser but Kwan may win from reputation or the stat Rawlings uses

  19. pm_me_your_last_pics

Jo Adell?? The impossible has happened!!

  20. jakerepp15

I’m a massive homer here but Cal logged over 1100 innings behind the plate, while Fermin was at 663 and Rogers at 761.

Rogers doesn’t seem like he has a chance to win since he doesn’t really have Cal beat in any category in a meaningful way. Fermin had such a ridiculous CS rate, I could see it going to him, but those innings have to be worth something.

  21. Soto as a finalist in Right Field is definitely a choice…

  22. I hope the Yankees re-sign 2-time Gold Glove finalist Juan Soto. They really need a defensive wizard like him out in RF.

  23. AssocProfPlum

Happ is gonna somehow get another one isn’t he

  24. BothSidesToasted

Real talk where is Michael Siani? How on earth is Perkins there over him

  25. InfectiousCosmology1

If Patrick Bailey doesn’t win it will be insane

  26. beingbobby

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has the numbers to back him up (+3 OAA), but he never seems to pass the eye test with me. His routes to the ball always seem awkward and inefficient.

Am I just limited by the small sample because I pretty much only see him play when he’s facing the Dodgers?

  27. Corrupt St. Louis based organization Rawlings needs to be investigated for it’s Mason Wynn related crimes.

  28. DollarsAtStarNumber

Well at least all the nominees actually play their respective positions.
