It wasn’t like the dodgers in 2022 when they had opportunities but were atrocious with RISP. Padres after game 2 were not even threatening much. Even in the big inning in game 3, Buehler induced like 3 or 4 balls that didnt leave the infield and none of them were recorded for outs. Talk about weird things…
Padres went cold obviously, but it wasn’t like they changed their hitting approach. They are a heavy contact low strike out team from top to bottom. They didn’t strike out a ton but hit into a lot of outs.
