Can we just let the teams’ dedicated commentators call the games .
Nobody should have to listen to Bob Costas for a whole series .
normally abhor defector’s « shittier » headlines but this is the fact
the TV product sucks. I just watch on Korean TV. I also watched briefly on Japanese TV and they don’t even go to commercial. They had the full footage of the pitcher coming out from the bullpen and warming up. The Japanese commentary team just talked over it, in the US that would be more time to shove in an ad break for some gambling bullshit
Bad announcing is one thing, but missing action/important information with horrible directing choices is insane.
I feel like I missed more things watching this postseason than I ever have before. No idea who is warming up in the bullpen, bizarre camera cuts where I don’t know which base runners are advancing or where the fielder has thrown the ball, in-game interviews (during the FUCKING NINTH INNING). I should not be confused during routine play.
Apple does an incredible job with their production of games in the regular season. TBS is really the main culprit here. They suck, maybe because they don’t produce a lot of games. FOX is fine.
