Question: Of the three ump scorecards that have been posted so far (Paders-Dodgers is still pending), this ump seems to have done the best job. He has the highest overall accuracy, for example. Yet his calls generated a higher run expetancy for one team (the Tigers) than either of the other two umps did for any team in their games.
Why is this? Did this ump just happen to have most of his incorrect calls go against the Guardians in big spots, even though he made fewer mistakes overall?

Not an expert but all 3 of these calls came with runners on base for the guardians. That’s probably going to affect the run expectancy of the next pitch / at bat.

I am waiting for the film to show up on Savant since I didn’t notice it in live time, but it’s interesting that Umpire Scorecard isn’t picking up the 2-2 pitch to Ramirez that was called a ball in the first inning. I noticed the pitch to Rocchio and Noel were pretty blatant plus with Tigers fans mentioning that ball to Jose I’m surprised the Umpire was as accurate as this shows, but I guess the rest of the game was pretty accurate.
