If you knew baseball you’d know that it needs to be a lot of rain for an extended period to matter

Why is this series not being played at the Trop to begin with?

There has absolutely had to be at least the gentleman’s agreement conversation between the teams to split the games.

So, in theory, let’s say the rain cancels the game.

    What happens to the postseason?

How’s the weather in NY? Play game 1 in Atlanta, then fly the players to NY to play game 2. We want them to be as tired as possible before the playoffs start.

Please use [weather.gov/ffc](http://weather.gov/ffc) (ffc is the ATL office), accuweather gets all their information from the NWS anyway. You can use a point forecast for Truist Park. You can also view forecast discussions there too.

They’re not going to cancel the games. Delay? Sure. Play in shit conditions? Sure.

MLB is not going to cancel the doubleheader for light afternoon showers. Look at what they had guys play in for game 5 of the 2022 NLCS, or game 4 of the NLDS between the Padres and Dodgers, or hell: the first 6 innings of game 5 in the 2008 World Series (until the Rays tied the game in a mud pit and Selig could postpone it).

As despicable and morally bankrupt as they are, the Mets and Braves are both east coast teams who don’t play in pansy-assed domed stadiums.

They’ll play the games. Sure, the team who wins game 1 might be drunk for game 2, but they’ll play alright.

They should go play at a neutral field with a roof like Chase Field or something
