(Passan) Avec la victoire de l’Arizona et de New York et la défaite d’Atlanta, le programme double complet entre les Mets et les Braves aura lieu lundi. Les deux jeux seront sur ESPN2. Le premier commence à 13 h 10 HE. Si l’une ou l’autre équipe balaie, cette équipe et l’Arizona en font partie. Avec une séparation, les Mets et les Braves sont tous les deux de la partie.

Also whoever wins Game 1 is incentivized to tank and rest for Game 2 because they have to start the postseason the next day.

I would be shitting if I was a D-Backs fan.

  3. Tkinzel517

I love how this could literally lead to possible collusion

  4. BigDanRTW

There is a very cynical part of my brain that recognizes it would be complete bullshit but would also find it very funny if there was collusion.

But as a Braves fan I want to end the Mets season. I assume that Mets fans want their team to end the Braves season. And I VERY much assume both teams want to end the others’ season tomorrow.

It’s absolutely going to suck as a fan, but hey it is what it is.

Dumb question, why are the Dbacks eliminated if they split? Wouldn’t that just mean all 3 teams finish 89-73? (Something to do with the season series?)

  6. RustleTheMussel

Feel bad for the DBacks, seems unlikely the team that wins game 1 will put any effort into game 2

  7. BoringAccount4Work

I feel my heart attack coming on already

  8. Bower1738

Come on Braves let’s just agree to split to screw over Manfred for playing tomorrow’s DH

  9. This could be like that time the Chargers and Raiders were about to tie to both make the playoffs, but then the Raiders said fuck that and eliminated the Chargers. Good times. Fuck Dean Spanos.

  10. Bower1738

ESPN robbed us of a possible clinch with GKR broadcasting wtf man

  11. KingBroly

Can’t wait for the split to happen so ESPN can write headlines about Arizona not having a chance to play in for the playoffs.

  12. IHateStanders

Idiot here trying to understand this-

If they split the doubleheader, why does that knock out the Dbacks? Wouldnt all 3 teams have equal W-L ratio? What determines which team gets knocked out if all 3 are tied?

Major League Baseball’s version of Chargers vs. Raiders, 2021 Week 17.

The one where Brandon Staley called his infamous timeout in overtime like the dumbass of a coach he was.

This reminds we of a few years back in the NFL

Raiders and Chargers were playing on SNF, week 18. Win and in, but if they tied, both teams would make it in.

Game goes to OT, seems like both teams we’re content to Tie but then the Chargers called a TO, Raiders get cold feet and kick the winner as Time expired

Snitker just said in his post game that if they win game 1 they will “make adjustments “ with the starting pitching in game 2 but didn’t say if Sale or Schwellenbach would get game 1
