Guys, I might be crazy, but i think something fishy happened in the 2001 season
2001: A Steroid Odyssey
why is it whenever we hear these crazy offensive stats, it’s Babe Ruth, Ted Williams/Jimmie Foxx, a bunch of NL West players during the steroid era (and Sammy Sosa), and Shohei Ohtani?
strike kept belle from doing it too. short by 23 TB in a season that was short by 18 games
Man, what the fuck was Gonzo taking in 2001? Obviously Bonds and Sosa used too but they have HOF numbers to show for it, Gonzo had one amazing season (and the championship that came with it)

Shohei already got the Dodgers first 50 home run season, MLB first 50/50 season, trying to get the triple crown and trying to get enough stats to join the juicers. Pretty good first season considering he’s only at 50% ability.
Can ohtani have just one game where he can just play freely without having the pressure to break some record lol. True Suffering from Success
