I don’t know if we win that ring in 2016 without him. Goodbye, Professor, and thank you for everything

  2. Man tosses 7 scoreless and we couldn’t even get him 1 run of support. Farewell professor🥺🫡

Forever a Cubs legend. This was a rough year for him, but I’m so glad he finished the year (and possibly his career) with a stellar outing.

  4. Goodbye Professor.

This reminds me of Wainwright’s last start last season. Longtime rock of the rotation reaches the end of their career and has a tough final season, but manages to pull out one last magical start for the home crowd

If that’s it for Hendricks as a Cub, what a day to turn back the clock a bit, and at Wrigley.

Gonna go down as one of the most underrated pitchers of the 2010s IMO, there’s a stretch there in terms of run prevention that lines up with some of the best of the era

If that is the last we see of Kyle, he’ll finish with a better career ERA+ than Nolan Ryan. Not bad for an eighth round pick from the ivy leagues who was a throw in non prospect in a rental trade.

  7. My favorite Cub of all time. I will forever love you Kyle

Still my favorite player over the last ten years.

CC should be disbarred for pulling him with ~80 pitches in the 8th

  9. Is he retiring after this year or are the Cubs just going to let him sign elsewhere?
