« He already has a scruntillion WAR and the last word on the AL home run record, I’ll be more worried if he stops hitting home runs *next* week »

I’ve never seen Judge say a single thing about personal records or achievements ever

Honestly at this point, the only thing on his mind is winning a World Series, he deserves It and I feel like he cares more about the team as a whole instead of just himself. He’s really selfless.

  4. Of course that’s what he’s saying, but I don’t believe it. He knows he’s on the cusp of achieving something incredible and historic. He knows if he reaches 60 again he will become a full fledged legend of baseball. He knows it would significantly improve his chances of getting into the HOF.

It’s probably not his main focus, but I definitely think it’s something he’s thinking about and looking for chances to achieve. Winning a WS I’m sure is higher on his priorities since he’s not achieved that yet, but he’s absolutely looking to swing for the fences these last few days.

Edit: thank you NYY fans for reminding me that you can’t actually read comments and that anything not clearly joining the circle jerk is an insult to your player. Softest fanbase in all of sports I swear. Didn’t even criticize the guy in any way, but somehow still hurt your feelings apparently

After they clinched the division last night, Judge joked in an interview that he might take a day off for once

I don’t think Judge would joke about it if he actually cared that much about anything other than being ready for the playoffs.
