For further context: Vegas would be MLB’s smallest market by far, so Fisher and the A’s could stay on revenue sharing permanently. The exemption’s expiration date was in 2025 and the exemption would end as soon as a stadium was finalized in Oakland. A’s president Dave Kaval said that revenue sharing was critical for the path going forward, so essentially, Fisher was never serious about building or staying in Oakland. That « letter » he sent out earlier is complete bullshit
