Ohtani’s top tier speed and base stealing ability is hilarious because of how unnecessary it is, lol. He does not play the field at all and hasn’t for years, so doesn’t utilize lateral quickness or sprint speed the way other players out there do. He’s one of the purest sluggers in the game (tons of walks, strike outs, and XBH) as a batter; not a ground ball or slap hitter that regularly has to beat out throws to first.
No reason whatsoever for him to be anything other than pedestrian on the base paths and he maxed out that slider too.
He was legitimately bad at it for most of his MLB career when he tried too, people said that was the one thing he couldn’t do well… what the fuck is there left to do for him individually anymore
He finally maxed out his agility perk. He truly is SPECIAL now.
