    > joined the White Sox as director of leadership, culture and continuing education

…this requires someone who played baseball? This is an HR position.

At this point he can’t make it any worse right?

The White Sox have only have concepts of a rebuilding plan.

God that website is a cancer on mobile. And to be honest this article is mostly dunking on the WSox for the sake of dunking on the WSox.

    > joined the White Sox as director of leadership, culture and continuing education.

These are not intrinsic to baseball. A Harvard-grad Navy SEAL should be quite capable of making positive changes here.

« I feel like I was lied to. » says one White Sox player in the offseason. « When they said there would be BUDS, I thought they meant beer. »

We have 4 assistant GMs some of which have been here 18-25 years. Please someone hire them off of us. A GM spot is rarely open in the league but it annoys me when teams hire internal slap dicks or people with no qualifications.

I don’t see why you have to have played baseball to be the director of leadership, culture, and continuing education. He played Lacrosse at Harvard, an ex Marine and Navy SEAL, and has a law degree from Georgetown. He is more than qualified for this position.

Why do you need baseball experience to work in HR?

    This doesn’t seem like a « baseball » position.
