This post was inspired by 2 observations: 1) seeing a larger-than-expected crowd for the White Sox walkoff over the weekend and 2) my neighbor who wears his White Sox cap everyday here in California. Kudos to South Side fans.

Factoring in the Secret Base doc on Dave Stieb not surprised Toronto is pretty high on here

White Sox are bottom 3 in Stadium Fill rate. Only here because their winning percentage is so low it would be almost impossible for the fill rate to be low enough to create a ratio lower than 1

Ironically a local Cleveland reporter was just talking about CWS attendance at a recent game. Sounds like they are greatly aided by Chicago business and other travelers to the city.

70% of capacity for Busch Stadium is sold before the season begins. Would love this with turnstile numbers.

Last year I went to a game in September at PNC Park and it was empty. Nobody was there and we got tickets for $3 and just walked freely around the park.
I was in Chicago Friday and i said fuck it lets go to a white sox game. Tailgating was popping and a lot more people (not full, but was very surprised by the turn out). Was very surprised respect to the Whit le Sox fan base.

What in the world is going on with Royals fans? No way that 53.9% is accurate, right?

Rockies a little down, but not incredibly substantial. I was kinda thinking this might be the year they sent a message, but still holding pretty respectable numbers all things considered.

The Angels have maintained really good attendance for a team with the longest active playoff drought and 9 straight losing seasons. The total attendance numbers have dropped post-COVID, but so has the number of wins every year.

You can’t really factor us in. I mean how many people actually live in Detroit proper? Most Tigers fans are a good drive away

Shoutout to the Padres fan who told me Rockies fans have abandoned the team

I wouldn’t call the Rockies fan base loyal based on butts in seats. It’s mostly people supporting the away team for those large numbers

Dfl for Oakland, I’m proud of my team. Fuck you John Fisher

Tuesday sell outs against the Pirates is crazy. I remember being able to choose from almost any seat a few hours before games.
