Emmanuel Clase might have the best mix of velocity and command baseball has ever seen.

I need a shower because that was filthy

That Corey Kluber trade sure was something, huh
Jetersweiner
That might be the most un-hittable pitch I’ve ever seen

Career high in saves

Emmanuel Clase’s 45th save showcases his ability to control and pitch a devastating 102 mph cutter. His precision and velocity make him a formidable closer.

Side note, but I happened to be in town the other day for Guardians game, and *holy shit* he has easily the most intimidating closer entrance I’ve ever seen.
The production crew absolutely *nailed* the terminator-esque assertion of dominance and lingering feeling of doom.
It’s the first time I’ve ever even had a passing thought that a player or two might have been genuinely psychologically spooked by a pitcher entrance.
(Granted, my sample size consists mostly of Angel games so maybe this kinda thing is way more common than I realize, but still. It was sick as hell.)

He’s now tied Borowski and Wickman for single season saves with CLE. I believe the franchise record is 46 by Jose Mesa.

Hope Rangers fans watch that one inning of Corey Kluber often and cherish it
