I personally thought it was stupid they gave him a 2 year garaunteed contract, even if it was under 2M AAV. Now he’s the reliever I feel most comfortable seeing come out of the pen. Crazy.

    Luke Weaver stats:

    ERA – 3.17
    G – 57
    IP – 76.2
    SO – 86
    WHIP – 0.97

Dreamweaver has been absolute electricity out of the pen

Weaver has found another level since getting the closer opportunity. Velo is up a bit and everything. He might not have the most elite stuff, but the intangible qualities to be a closer are all there.

Worst reds pitcher I have ever seen with my own two eyes.

His accession to greatness must be studied.

Spending 6 months studying Clay Holmes and learning what not to do certainly helps.

  7. They don’t need a permanent closer. Kahnle can close, Weaver can close, just set them up for the best matchups.
