The fucked up thing is he is probably one of the best at his job. Just remember that his job isn’t to create a winning baseball team or win a world series. It’s to run a profitable business for the owners and for the lack of star power the Mariners have had over the years and the fact that they have only made the playoffs once with Jerry as president yet they are still one of the leagues most profitable teams. The dude’s job was probably safer than most around the league. I still can’t believe they haven’t figured out that while bad teams can still be profitable winners are even more profitable.

The guy makes teams that are good enough to sell tickets through September and keeps the farm system good enough to sell fans on the idea that success is just around the corner. That’s all ownership needs to make a profit. Why would they want to make a change?

I’m done with them. I’m gonna start rooting for the Diamondbacks until we see some changes in ownership and baseball operations.
Y’all can cope if you want but Mariners are going no where with Dipoto and when Kirby, Gilbert, Woo, and Miller hit arbitration what do you all think is gonna happen? Gilbert and Big Dumper are Boras guys…you think we’re gonna pay either of them what Boras is going to demand? Fat chance.
I’ll still go to games but not to root for them. I’ll go because I love baseball and I’ll go to watch the stars if the game come into TMobile and smack the shit out of the ball while Julio strikes out 3-4 times. I love Julio but whatever they got him doing is fucked.
Maybe he should hit up Teacherman. I don’t even know if he’s good or if Judge just overcomes shit instruction but whatever Julio is doing ain’t it. He’s far below his ceiling and has nothing to lose looking into other instruction.
