Should have managed his batters better and told them to hit the ball.

I hadn’t looked at the ALW standings in a while. Everything there makes me sad.

The Mariners are also the first team in mlb history to have a 10.0+ game lead in the division (or league, prior to 1969) but then have their manager fired before the end of the season.

  4. I do wonder if he will be instantly picked up to be a manager for another team next year (like ours?)

They not only blew that lead but are now 5 games back. They blew the lead over only a month and a day and fell 5 games back over the next month.

And everybody was dunking on the Mets more for blowing the 10 game lead over 4 months while playing at a 100 win pace over that time span because Sal couldn’t keep his dumb mouth shut.

Why did he have his team blow a ten game lead?

    Is he stupid?
