It’s been the clenchiest, most angst-filled stretch of winning I’ve seen. Three-way 2021 vibes.

    It’s kinda cool!

Finally glad the other NL West teams decided to get their shit together and make it interesting.

  3. I know it’s more complicated than this, but it’s pretty wild how well the Padres have been playing given they traded Soto away this offseason – which came not long after the news about the team needing to take out a loan for payroll – and seemed a bit like waving the white flag. As it turns out, that trade just flat-out made the Padres better.

You’d then conclude ‘depth wins in baseball’, but then at the same time Soto and his new teammate in New York are completely carrying a C- lineup to the near-best record in the sport.

    I don’t understand baseball tbh

Of course nobody else has a winning record. Somebody has to be taking all the Ls

Yea but everyone else has had to play the nl west while the nl west gets to play all these other scrubs. Clearly it is a schedule bias.

  6. Rockies are I believe 19-22 since July 4, and while that isn’t great, it’s way better than the first three months of the season. Probably actually have a winning record against non NLwest teams since then
