   They gotta trade one of their premier pitchers.

   + 3 years of Gilbert
   + 4 years of Kirby
   + 5 years of Miller
   + 5 years of Woo

   Any one of those can net a bat, and they all can’t start in the playoffs (esp w/ Castillo being signed)

   Scary thing is that the Mariners have had tremendous injury luck with their best starting pitchers being able to stay healthy while the Astros have been riddled with injuries yet they’re still five games back. What will they be like if George Kirby or Logan Gilbert gets hurt and are out for an extended period of time? They have to blow it up or at least make massive structural changes to their roster.
