Judge has always been overrated and has gotten his “nice guy” reputation solely because he has talent. He has always come off as a bit of an egotistical jerk and this just proves it

  2. A group of cops complaining together is called a Staten Island so this is unsurprising

When the Yankees played in Chicago Judge refused to turn and wave to the people of Chicago and Goose Island

Why does this idiot think his players see Aaron Judge as a sandwich

  5. Of course, it’s never enough somehow for the New Yorker.

Ah big guy here, hits 62 home runs and can’t turn and wave at some kids playing Little League?

I watched a bit of Staten Island vs South Dakota over the weekend. One of the Staten Island coaches made a mound visit in the first inning after the pitcher walked the bases loaded and the coach’s demeanor was pretty harsh. (The coaches are mic’d up.) But the kid got out of the jam and the team won the game so I guess that brusque coaching style is working for that team.

The South Dakota coach seemed much more positive and encouraging the times he visited the mound, but I guess you can’t argue with results.

Dropping the « they are the ones who pay your salary » line tells you exactly how big of an idiot this guy is.

This guy should focus on being a better 3B coach. He’s made some horrible send/hold decisions in this tournament

Y’all can say what you want, but good for that coach for standing up for his kids. It makes sense that the kids wanted to meet Judge and while they got to meet some awesome players, they’re still kids and may have been disappointed that their hero didn’t even acknowledge them. Plus it’s a very New Yorker way to go about this and I’m all for it, I’d say “wtf” too.

  12. The amount of shit that Judge does- is way above and beyond what most average baseball players do. This coach seems like a true dickhead

  13. As a Red Sox fan, I feel bad for thinking this, as it’s against my nature, but after reading this story I actually feel a good amount of sympathy for Hurricane Sandy

Isn’t there documented proof that Judge met with like, all the kids? He got off the plane and immediately started signing stuff and taking selfies with the kiddos.

If the SI kids want to see Judge so bad, they can go see him at Yankee Stadium. What about the kids who don’t live in the same city as Judge and this was their only chance, like the Japanese or Venezuelan kids?
