    Chris Carter only played 62 games the year after leading the league in HR and never played in MLB again, so not sure how Luke Voit playing in parts of 3 seasons after his league leading year « ties » him with Carter. Even if you count time in the minors, Carter only played one more year there, meaning he was out of MLB affiliated ball 2 years after leading the league in HR.

    How would it not be Chris Carter? He lead the league in HRs with 41 in 2016 and was DFAed the following year on July 10th and hasn’t played since.

    If the NL having a DH was implemented earlier, I bet Khris Davis would still be in the league and still be good

    I don’t think we’ll know if he never returns until he retires.

    But also it’s weird that the Yankees had 2 of those 4 guys.

    You know this whole time I think his name was « Volt » not « Voit »

    Going a little bit past the 50 year mark here, but Dave Brain led the majors in home runs in 1907, and didn’t have a single extra base hit the rest of his career.
