It’s not what you want
That’s a bit of a drop off.
What’s weird is Harper’s numbers with men in scoring position are insanely good (.352/.482/.800) but in “high leverage” situations they’re real bad.
He’s an enigma when it comes to clutch this season.
He’s walking more than he’s striking out and has very good hard contact numbers. This seems like a classic small sample situation. 43 PAs is pretty much nothing.
Felt like every ab during his slump was high leverage and he would pop up or K every time

Proving nothing more than that « Clutch » is not a repeatable skill, and that over enough PA any given players « Clutch » performance will trend towards his career averages.
Example: David Ortiz has a reputation as a postseason monster, but that rep is largely based on only two series. His total postseason stats are effectively identical to his regular season numbers (.931 OPS regular season, .947 postseason).
