Man… probably more than deserved but I will always have a soft spot for Pedro.

Im crying, they waited for a win so he didn’t have to go out with the streak

White Sox Manager finally ends the losing streak and immediately gets fired lol

  4. mjst0324

Final record of 89-190. Winning percentage of .319. Not saying it’s completely his fault but has to be high up there with the worst managerial tenures of all time.

They fired Ricky, had the opportunity to put in a real manager, and we got TLR.

They “fired” TLR, we got Grifol.

They fired Hahn and Kenny, we got Getz.

There is no hope left. Bring on AJ or whatever former player Jerry wants to give a few hundred grand to.

I mean, yeah, might as well. Doesn’t really matter since they have the worst GM in the sport and he’s likely to botch any new hire. I guess this at least can be a vibes improvement for any young guys they want to call up but it feels like a rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic moment to me.

Mattingly would be the perfect White Sox replacement

  8. ahipikr

What’s the justification? Surely it’s not the managers fault the roster is so poor they’re chasing all time losing streaks.

    Another scapegoat for ownership?

Hard to believe I was actually optimistic about him when they hired him

LETS FUCKING GO BABY. WE ARE SO BACK

  11. see_mohn

He’ll have so much free time now to not look at eclipses.

Remember when the white sox brought the fun back to baseball and it turns out they just weren’t stretching or practicing

  13. Single_Seesaw_9499

Worst manager of all time, good riddance

  14. People are going to make fun of this going “lol like that was the problem with the team”

I think it was long overdue. A managers job is to put his players in the best position to succeed and to motivate them. When every player was seemingly having career worst years (Benintendi, Moncada, etc) and they had clearly the worst clubhouse culture in baseball, I would say he failed miserably at his job, even if he was handed a terrible roster.

  15. Mthomas1174

Wow, he led this awful team to a .500 record in the past few games. Complete nonsense to fire him now.

  16. HookFE03

being a life long ws fan has taught me that this is the point where things get worse

  17. TripleCrownVillainy

Idiot, if Pedro Grifol continued to lose he could’ve kept his job. Sucker

  18. Are there any coaches from the 1979 Sox roster we can call

  19. Fantastic_Emu_9570

Couldn’t bear the thought of him losing two to the cubs or something?

Weird timing for this but ok
