Melvin a déclaré qu’il pensait que le problème de genou en cours avait beaucoup à voir avec la forte baisse de Flores au bâton. Il peut exercer une option de joueur de 3,5 millions de dollars pour 2025.

Went from an .863 OPS last season to only .595, not exactly shocking news to find out that there’s some structural issue at play here.
The option for 2025, I wager he’ll take it. Coming off of a bad year and surgery, he’s probably not going to see much in the way of offers from other teams, might as well secure the guaranteed money…

I like Wilmer. At least other years, there was something workmanlike and reliable about his game. Not flashy, and not a household name. But respectable and helped carry some struggling teams.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
As a Mets fan, this makes me sad. I think I speak for all of us Mets fans when I say we will always love Wilmer.
