Honestly, those two missed calls were on Realmuto. The ump has been shit, but no ump is gonna call a strike when the catcher dives across the plate like that (especially when he didn’t need to), and he never asked the ump to get help from 1st base.

I know this was the Mariners broadcast and Dave Sims is pretty good but it’s a pretty big failure in storytelling to mention how badly that at-bat was umpired.
Broadcasters like Dave Flemming or Dan Shulman would’ve kept the excitement up while also mentioning the proper story of the game.
