    114 OPS+ as a CWS

Catastrophic? Really? Do I not follow Eloy Jimenez close enough? Seems a career 114 OPS+ is not a terrible thing to have on a team? Sure he’s having a down year but man, they really seem to hate him.

honestly it’s pretty classless to act like that towards a player who got traded regardless of how bad they may have been while on the team.

I hope he comes here and rakes just for the ultimate fuck you

man who in the world would want to play on this team. the team sucks so you gonna lose the owner sucks so you never gonna get better and then also the announcers suck so much that they act like this when they trade a dude who’s been playing just has bad has everyone else on the team for a bag of rocks that we had in single A ball and then act like someone just gave them the cure for cancer

this is some seriously hostile shit coming form the team’s official pregame about one of their players. I don’t watch a ton of SNY pre-game, but I don’t remember them dancing and celebrating when we cut Jake Diekman or some similar move. Just feels trashy. Like it’s somehow Eloy’s fault Jerry Riensdorf is the worst owner in sports and has no interest in fielding a competitve team

What a bunch of buffoons. Absolute losers. Most teams thank their players for their contributions; glad to see the White Sox’s classlessness has no limits.

  7. DecoyOne

It’s a joyous day as the White Sox trade away the only guy who makes their team bad. Finally, the team is fixed.

    It’s all championships from here

This is sorta like watching plane crash survivors get into cannibalism

You just know he’s gonna rake in Baltimore. They gonna be shouting « eloy comin’, eloy comin » when he comes up to bat. Just play the ominous whistle when he strolls up to back.

    Irrelevant like Jurickson Profar.

Eloy is kind of an old school player and I get he’s been frustrating because of his antics and injury history but I don’t think you can deny the talent and think it’s a good buy low move for the Orioles. He is one of the few players in baseball that combined massive power with contact skills. He obviously isn’t contributing on D or the base paths but he’s one of those guys that can be an absolute force at the plate for like 2 months.

Can someone give me the names of the 3 hosts?

Jesus Christ. I don’t follow the white Sox so I have no knowledge of this guy but like, unless he was fighting with teammates or fans, you’d think announcers would be a bit more professional about things.

I don’t necessarily disagree with the people saying it’s bad for the team’s postgame crew to be shitting on a player like this but for anybody that has been around the team long enough…Eloy hasn’t once given anybody the impression that he takes his profession seriously. Injuries suck but when people behind the scenes are consistently calling you out for not taking training seriously, not taking your diet seriously, not taking your warm up prep seriously…they are absolutely entitled to call you out on it and I think a lot of us fans are happy a guy getting paid millions every year to sit out and not take his job seriously are fine with it.

Edit: He also repeatedly made a stink about wanting to play in the field and not DH even though everybody on the planet knew he was one of the worst outfielders in baseball. I blame management equally for that one but still.
