Damn. I wanted Leiter for the Mets but I didn’t think he was even available. Got great stuff and peripherals.

Alright, here we go for real this time.

Yankees fans, Leiter has two modes: God Mode and Unplayable Dear God Get This Guy Out ASAP Mode. Basically depends on if he’s got his splitter working or not.

You can tell within the first three pitches of an outing which mode you’ve got from Leiter on a given night.

Ah fuck, I like Neely. There were major league coaches saying he was basically going to be called up this year to help the club because he strikes people out.

But just like with the Wesneski for Effross trade, the Yankees would rather trade for a guy who is already in the majors and has shown he can get major league hitters out, rather than trust a prospect with the potential to get major leaguers out.

Watching the bots compete to post this the fastest is more fun than analyzing deadline moves.

22 and 29 on MLBs prospect rankings. Neely is probably going to move up though. He’s been great in AA and 14.8 SO/9.

Who are Cowles and Neely and are they good

His splitter looked immaculate last week against the Brewers. But other times, sometimes maybe good sometimes maybe shit.

Solid return for Leiter. Neely looks promising. Cowles is doing pretty good at AA too.

This trade is so fucking stupid

Ben Cowles was on the 2021 Maryland Terps team with Matt Shaw who is the 2nd ranked prospect with the Cubs. Cowles isn’t as highly ranked but has a good year in AA Somerset so far.

Teams just give good players to the yankees for nothing like always

39 outings, 4-5 bad games, sounds good
