The fact that MLB didn’t just strip the A’s of all home games after the month of May (since September is traditionally very hot in California) is an abject failure.
If you want to play your games in a desert hellhole, build a roof and get AC. There’s a reason that the Diamondbacks don’t play in an open air stadium.
