    Not hating but the dude’s name is Kwan, not Kawasaki.

    Why not embrace his Chinese heritage and play for China?

    Having a legit superstar would do great things for baseball in China.

    Japan already has enough depth.

    Under the current WBC rules the only way he could play for Japan is for his mother to obtain Japanese citizenship. However Japan does not allow dual citizenships for adults.

    I think this was the reason he was not qualified to play for Japan the last time.
