And he only deserved about 3 of them.
Using metrics that are basically all popularity contests is super misleading. A guy with a career 103wrc+ and some of the worst defensive metrics in the league, having 5GGs and 4SSs is kinda insane. Throw in the less than 17 fWAR and it is truly mind-blowing that he has 9 all-star appearances. He seems like a really nice guy and a great fit for the city of KC but he is easily the most overrated player currently in the league
Advanced metrics be damned I want my boy in the Hall, can we please make another run to World Series for him to get another ring?

Its kinda interesting how Salvador Perez went from a glove first catcher early in his career to a bat first catcher later in his career.
