Espada challenged to make it an official web gem. Now that’s what you call a player’s coach!

Catch of the year imo
That concentration and catching the ball with his bare hand. Wow
SyphillusPhallio
This whole game has been unreal.
Nobius

Salty-Fishman
Holy fuck I thought that was Antonio Brown.

I seriously think that was the best catch I’ve ever seen. I’m not even mad about it. He deserves to cherish that play for his entire life.

Amazing catch, me and my mom were jumping and screaming in my tiny apartment!
DrFloppyTitties
Not only does that rob a homerun in basically every other stadium, but the fact he bare handed it after it came out and started dropping is insane.
Audibly screamed when I saw that play live.
Buckcheeks
I love that Espada challenged it just to get Joey credit for the catch. Lmao
God834
Holy SHIT

For those who didn’t watch this live, it was originally ruled a no catch & the Astros were going to get an out anyways because the batter ran past the runner on 1st (who was running back because he thought it was a catch). So Espada didn’t really need to use a challenge here but did to give Joey his due.

God damn that was nice.
*cheated* him out of a home run
Reminds me of this play https://www.mlb.com/astros/video/trout-almost-makes-great-play?partnerId=web_video-game-index-page_video-share
he caught the ball twice, i think that should count as double play
The Astros’ broadcast showed Joey and Jake reviewing the play in the dugout. Loved their reactions to reliving the catch again.
