I never understood why they would in the first place. He should be the guy you build around.

Edit: Plus he’s your « star » player (though not well known in MLB, but in Chicago he seems to be). Gotta keep some players around that fans are excited to see.

    10 minutes later:

Luis Robert Jr. has been traded to the Atlanta Braves for the #738 overall prospect in baseball and a can of beans.

Gonna be a boring deadline then. No Vladdy, Robert, Crochet, Miller, Rooker or Skubal

Riiiiight, that’s what they want us to think

Based on the last trade Sox fans better pray they don’t trade him.

after seeing them get hosed earlier, you’d think other orgs would be lighting up their phone right now to try and get him on the cheap too

So he’s going to the dodgers then

Hearing that the White Sox are unlikely to make a smart baseball move, according to my eyes.

He’s still got another year on his deal after this, and he’s performed poorly this season so they’d be selling low.

They have to be hoping he gets into a groove and is worth more in the offseason or at next year’s deadline, because for sure they aren’t going to be contending before his contract comes up.
