So since we traded most of our “depth” piece prospects to acquire Cease, Arraez, and Adam, it seems we will now have to trade either of our top prospects in Salas or DeVries. So my guess would be we aim at the top end of the starting pitcher market. Crochet or Skubal possibly.

I didn’t think the Padres could be too strong of buyers with how horrid their farm system has performed this season but they continue to add piece after piece. They have also been adding guys with term too which is smart.
What’s the payroll situation for them? Are they playing the luxury tax limbo?
