He’s making pro hitters look like little leaguers.

His control and power are unreal. This dude is soooo fun to watch. Pirates should go ahead and back the truck up.

He is speical man. I cant lie. He reminds me of a young Degrom but with a filthy « Splinker » instead of the slider. Hes gonna be very very special for a long time. Pittsburgh is finally building something.

I mean…I guess if you wanna justify workload, they’d be All-Star worthy numbers for a closer (minus the home runs but those would have a different impact situationally for a closer)

Manfred has the option of making special selections for the All Star game. I know that it’s usually reserved for retiring great players, but make an exception this year.

If Paul Skenes threw a pitch so hard his arm came off with it but maintained its grip on the ball and the batter hit it well all the way to the warning track, all the while the hand maintained its grip on the ball, where upon landing hand side down the ball bounced out of the hand and over the wall is it a home run or a ground rule double?

Ignore any improbabilities for the sake of this hypothetical.

Skenes is so fun to watch, but seeing him just makes me incredibly depressed that Strider is out for the year

Rays did a decent job against Skenes today, I don’t know why they didn’t work the pitch count a bit more towards the end.

Man I hate to be that guy but how long can a guy really throw like this? 100mph after 90 pitches bothers me. Idk if it’s bc I’m a Braves fan and Strider or if all these elbow injuries are getting to me. But, I recently saw a Brewers starter named Gasser go down and I was like wtf, it was after 3 starts , idk how guys can continue to do this.
